Participation
- Participation is free, but prior registration is required.
- Open to all Indian and OCI card holders currently residing in China.
Registration
- Scan the QR code using WeChat or Alipay to register.
Rules:
- Each contestant will have 3 minutes for speech. 2:45 to 3:15 minutes will not affect their points.
- Timing will begin with the contestant’s first definite verbal or non-verbal communication with the audience.
- An alarm will ring after 2:45 minutes to indicate you to conclude; a second alarm will ring at 3:15 minutes—contestants must finish within 15 seconds.
- For Group B, speeches shorter than 2:15 or longer than 3:45 minutes will lead to disqualification. (Not applicable for Group A.)
- Each contestant must deliver an original speech. Up to 20% may be quoted or paraphrased with proper reference.
- Notes are allowed, but reading verbatim is discouraged for Group B. Eye contact will earn higher points.
- No audio/visual aids permitted.
- Contestants will be assigned numbers; judges will evaluate based on these numbers.
- Self-identification (name, school, city) during the speech is not allowed.
- All must remain seated during the contest; numbers will be called randomly.
- Team IA reserves the right to modify rules. Judges’ decisions are final and scores will not be shared.
